Remembering to Persevere Despite Setbacks
Do you get easily discouraged when your life is constantly not “working out”?
You work hard to provide for your family. You work hard to try to maintain relationships with family and friends. You work hard to find a life that will make you happy.
I have the same problems, despite my renewed family relationships and my renewed awareness of my own needs.
Over the last two months, I finished writing a memoir and started a blog. However, I have not been able to find success for either yet. Impatience and self-doubt easily seep into my brain, which I work constantly to push away.
Ironically, what I try to get my reliable blog readers to find hope in, I struggle with constantly. Mindfulness to me means you are aware of your internal and external obstacles. You are also willing to “keep up the good fight” and work to help yourself overcome obstacles. Â I still constantly fight against my own self-confidence. I have to remind myself to stop, take a breath, observe my internal + external motives, proceed with caution.
My SMART Goal for 2019 is to be successful in my writing. I have not found “success” in my writing yet, but I am not going to give up. I also need to work at actually doing the small steps I outlined in the SMART Goal formula to be able to reach my ultimate goal.
What I would love is to have some constructive feedback from my readers (YOU!). Please let me know how I can better help you!
What about you? What are you working hard to achieve? Are you going to give up? Please leave a comment below!
